Inez Wann – My Home (2005, 24 page PDF, 14 MB, scanned 2019) – Handwritten autobiographical notes written by Inez (Cox) Wann about growing up in Kinta, Oklahoma. She talks about growing up, her parents and siblings, getting married, and the family.
Inex (Cox) Wann Ancestors (15 page PDF, 6.1 MB, scanned 2024) – Correspondence and records linking descendants of Grandison Franklin German to Daniel Root Cox. I’m not sure who put this together and gave to Inez.
Aaron B Raper family history (1970, 26 page PDF, 14 MB, scanned 2024) – Scans of Raper family (Mississippi) history and stories. These look like they were put together by Aaron Bonnie Raper in 1970. They’ve been passed around a few generations now. I found these in Inez’s papers, where they had been mailed back to her from her brother Mitchell. I scanned these as-is to make them available. Unfortunately I know very little about the Raper family, nor where these papers came from.
The Family of Daniel R. Cox (1984, 195 page PDF, 80 MB, OCR, scanned 2024) – Genealogy work compiled by Guinn and Berniece (Cox) Britton of the descendants of Daniel Root Cox.
This is a high resolution (600 dpi) scan and OCR processed file of the book given to I believe Inez (Cox) Wann. I’m told by another relative there are a number of errors but not given specifics. There’s a good amount of photos and copies of source documents. There are some handwritten corrections, these may have been by Inez.
Page 156 shows the Wann family (including me!) and the location is listed as Kinta, Oklahoma. This is incorrect, this photo was taken at Jerry and Ann’s house in Rawlins, WY.
1957 Wann Grocery & Market, Kinta, OK
(1957, 4 m 29 sec. length, no sound, digitized 2024) A 8mm family video shot outside Leon Wann’s (my grandpa) grocery store in 1957, featuring many of the locals of Kinta visiting his store. I’m not sure who shot the video, maybe W.R. Cox (my g-grandpa) or Mitchell Cox.
A great number of people on Facebook and YouTube identified people in the video after I posted it. I edited the closed captions/subtitles to show their names as they appeared. The two boys in red caps I am almost certain are my dad Larry Wann and uncle Jerry Wann.
